General Notes: Husband - Thomas Scott

The village of Loudon, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, was on the Chambersburg and Bedford turnpike, which, in his day, was part of the great highway between Pittsburgh and the East. He kept the Eagle Hotel, a much-frequented hostelry, especially by wagoners, when Conestoga wagons were the only means of transportation over the mountains.
