General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Douthett

He was born in Ireland and came with his parents to Pennsylvania, and throughout his life followed agricultural pursuits. He owned 500 acres of land, which he divided among his children.

He spent his early life in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and for many years was engaged in hauling merchandise between Philadelphia, Balti­more and Pittsburgh. He followed his father to Butler County, and purchased fifty acres of land. At the time of his death he was the owner of 500 acres of fine farm land.
