General Notes: Husband - William Dovenspike


He was born in Pennsylvania in the early part of the nine­teenth century. He came to Clarion County and settled on a large farm in Red Bank town­ship, where he resided for a number of years but eventually sold his property to a coal com­pany and purchased a farm in Armstrong County, on which he passed away. He was an active Republican in politics and both he and his wife were members of the Evan­gelical Association.
