General Notes: Husband - Henry Edward Drushel

He was three months old when his parents came to the farm in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and it was his home thereafter. As he grew up he attended the country schools and he also assisted his father in clearing and later in cultivating the land. This farm was once a part of the old Chew estate and a portion of the old stone house in which the Chews lived is still standing into the twentieth century. Mr. Drushel continued to make improvements and he carried on a general farming line, introducing modern methods into his work and making use of improved machinery.
He belonged to the Reformed Church, in which he was a deacon. In politics he was a Democrat. He served in numerous offices, including those of auditor and tax collector.
