General Notes: Husband - Simeon Jackman

He was born in East Pike Run township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and there attended the subscription schools. He married the young couple settled permanently on 100 acres of his father's original tract in Allen township. He afterward bought 100 acres from his brother Cyrus, paying him $10 per acre.
He was a Republican, and served for many years as justice of the peace; he was also a captain in the State Militia.
He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church.
