General Notes: Husband - James Dunn


He was a farmer by occupation. In 1852, he was elected Road Commissioner; and was re-elected at various periods thereafter. He was elected Justice of the Peace in 1868, and served 10 years. Upon his re-election for a third term, he resigned. He served multiple terms as School Director, and was Auditor, Inspector and Judge of Elections. In 1873, he was elected County Director of the Poor, and served one term. He was a delegate to the first Republican Convention ever held in the county, which was in 1858. He and his wife were adherents of the U. P. Church.
