General Notes: Husband - Charles Muth

In 1853 he and his wife crossed the ocean with their little family to America. They located first at Catfish Furnace, in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where Mr. Muth found employment. After a few years of hard work and close economy he purchased a tract of wood land in McCalmont township, Jefferson County, and established his home there, clearing and improving the place as time passed by. His wife died in Clarion county, and when all his children were grown he returned to the Fatherland to spend his last years.
