General Notes: Husband - Isaac Stuart Eddy

He attended the Warren Academy, and learned the trade of cabinet-making, although he never made it his vocation. Soon after his marriage he built for himself and his wife a house at the northwest corner of Third and Market streets, which property he owned and where he continued to live until the death of his wife in 1865. Shortly after his marriage he started a grocery store in the two-story building owned by him at the south-west corner of Second and Liberty streets. At that time all groceries had to be brought by either stage or boat from Dunkirk and Buffalo, New York. He had considerable property in Warren and Glade Run, which he farmed. He owned seventeen full town lots, fifty-eight feet by two hundred and thirty-three feet, the store building mentioned above, and fifteen acres of woodland at Glade Run. He early became a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and always took a great interest in religious work, being elder for many years.
