General Notes: Husband - Jacob Dubbs

He was reared in his native city and in 1824 he came to Franklin, Pennsylvania, with his wife and one child, Elizabeth, also accompanied by his father, who spent the latter years of his life in Venango County, and died in Franklin at a ripe old age. Soon after coming Mr. Dubbs purchased the property on Liberty street, later the site of the International Bank. He followed the wheelwright trade until 1830, and commenced a general merchandising business which he carried on up to his death. This occurred by drowning, in 1845, while driv-ing some stock from Ohio. He was a Lutheran in religion and a Democrat in politics. [HVC 1890, 765]

He was a Lieutenant, and subsequently a captain in the cavalry.
