General Notes: Husband - Orson Arnold Edwards

He was in the Cherokee Strip Run into Oklahoma riding with his brothers Perrin H. and Ira in a spring wagon. Orson staked a claim west of Ponca City but gave it up because he was not yet 21 years old. He later bought 600 acres of land near Walters, OK, for $600. After he had proved up the land, the final deed was signed by President William Howard Taft.
