General Notes: Husband - John Ehrman

He grew to maturity on his father's farm, received a common school education in the district school of his neighborhood, and always followed agricultural pursuits. In 1878 he married and then settled on a farm in Cranberry township, Butler County, where they then resided.
He was one of the active and influential Democrats of his township, and served as assessor and collector, and was a member of the school board for three years. Both he and his wife were members of the German Lutheran church at Evans City.
