General Notes: Husband - Robert Elder


He was nineteen years of age when the family came across the Allegheny mountains from Dauphin County to the new home in Indiana County, in western Pennsylvania. He settled down to farming, making his home in Conemaugh township, on the eastern half of the original tract. He died while in the prime of life, being but forty-six years of age.
