General Notes: Husband - Curtis Sylvester Marshall


When a youth he attended Glade Run Academy. He entered the mercantile establishment of J. Campbell & Co., as a clerk in 1872, where by diligence, integrity and courtesy he gained the confidence and esteem of his employers and the public, and was also enabled soon after his marriage to engage for himself in business which he did in company with T. M. Elder and Wesley Pontius. These three established a general store in Dayton, Pennsylvania, under the firm name of C. S. Marshall & Co.
