General Notes: Husband - J. Emerson Moore

He resided with his parents until arriving at manhood, and obtained his education in the public schools. When he was eleven years old his parents removed to Crawford County, PA, and on the death of his father, four years later, the responsibilities of the farm largely rested upon his shoulders. At the age of twenty-two years he returned to Butler County, and settled on a portion of the original homestead. Politically, he was a Republican, and was elected to the office of school director in 1893. He was the owner of 100 acres of well improved land.
