General Notes: Husband - George Ely


He and his wife were natives of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and moved to Greene County in 1840.

For a half century he engaged in farming in Greene County. For 50 years he was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, a trustee of the same for 34 years and a class leader for 13 years.
