General Notes: Husband - Jacob Allen

He grew up in the Genesee Valley, New York state, married his wife there, and brought her with him to Chewton, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
He was a Presbyterian, and was one of the founders of the Slippery Rock Church.

He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and was present at the engagement with the British at Black Rock, later a part of the City of Buffalo, New York.

Besides the children listed, there were others who did not survive to maturity.
