General Notes: Husband - Capt. James Gordon Heron

He came to Franklin, Pennsylvania, in about 1795, one of the earliest settlers. About 1800, he brought his large family. The family came by land. The servants - five in number - and the furniture came by water from Pittsburgh, in a keelboat, and were three weeks on the voyage. He had been an officer in the Revolutionary War and became an associate judge. [HVC 1879, 443]

General Notes: Wife - Eleanor Evans

She was a planter's daughter, of Welsh descent.
