General Notes: Husband - John Evans


The progenitor of the family in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he was a native of Wales, who, with his brothers, David and James, came to America while young men.
He resided on five hundred acres of land in Little Britain township, Lancaster County, where he later died. He also owned some two hundred acres of land in the same locality, the warrant of which was issued to him by Richard and Thomas Penn, April 23, 1747.
He married after arriving in this country.
