General Notes: Husband - Joseph Patterson Stewart

He grew to maturity and married in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in 1840 moving to Ohio and settling in Meigs County, a district then but a wide stretch of wild forest. He had obtained title to about two hundred acres of land and he resolutely applied himself to the task of placing it in a condition suitable for tilling. The first home was a cabin of logs, in which two of his sons were born, and although he never attained wealth that permitted of more than the necessities of life, the home was a happy one, his sons becoming manly, sturdy, patriotic men, five of them at one time serving as soldiers in the One Hundred and Sixteenth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the Civil War, his daughters gentle and competent women. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church, of which he was for many years ruling elder, while in political belief he was a Republican.

The source gives dates of birth for him and his sister Anne that are too close together. Is it possible that he was born in 1793?
