James K. Exley
James K. Exley, formerly of Cranberry Star Route, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Venango Manor.
Born at Van, Feb. 2, 1892, he was a son of John and Anna Hagerty Exley.
He retired in 1957 from Jones & Laughlin Steel, where he was employed as a maintenance foreman.
He was a member of Rouseville Lodge #483 F & A. M.
Mr. Exley was first married to Emma Schrag who died in 1917. He later married Minnie Holiday, whose death occurred on Feb. 5, 1976.
Surviving are three sons, James L. of Seneca, RD 1; Paul, Crystal River, Fla. and Clair O. of Cranberry Star Route; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Audrey) O'Neil, Victory Heights; one brother, John Exley, of Curwensville and a sister Helen Exley also of Cranberry Star Route. 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren also survive.
Along with his wife, one daughter, Mae Stine, a brother, Thomas Exley, and a sister Grace Ziegler are deceased.
Removal was made to the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Saylor of Van United Methodist Church officiating. Interment to follow in Georgeville Cemetery.
