Walter C. Exley
Walter C. Exley, 69, of Reno, died at 1:55 am Thursday in the West Unit of the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
Born May 27, 1917, in Knox, he was the son of the late Clem and Elizabeth Texter Exley.
He spent his early life in Knox and attended school there. In 1929 he moved to the Franklin area and attended school at Galloway.
He was employed for 20 years at the S. Y. Ramage Estate, Reno, and then worked 24 years for Quaker State, retiring from there in January, 1985.
He married the former Florence Howell on October ??, 1946. She preceded him in death on July 10, 1982.
He is survived by two brothers, Harold W. Exley and Robert I. Exley, both of Reno, two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Harriet) Miller of Franklin, and Mrs. Ralph (Sarah) Battles of Greenville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Huff Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
