General Notes: Husband - Peter Fair


He was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and removed about 1817 to Armstrong County, where he settled in what is now Washington township. He engaged in farming as well as working at his trade; he was the first blacksmith in Washington township. He was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.

He was of German descent. He settled in Washington township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, on a tract of about three hundred acres then all in the woods. He built a log cabin on the hill and made a permanent home there. He was a farmer; a Lutheran in religion and a Republican in politics.

He and his wife were cousins.
