Lusher-Falen Wedding At Home
Rev. T. H. Carson Performs Quiet Ceremony At Bride's Home in Ewing Park
ELLWOOD, June 29-A pretty home wedding of late June was solemnized on Saturday morning at 11:45 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lusher, Ewing Park, when their daughter, Miss Bertha Lusher, became the bride of Paul Falen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Falen, of North Sewickley.
The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. T. H. Carson, of McKeesport, former pastor of the First Methodist church, this city. The home was attractively decorated with garden flowers.
Before the ceremony, the bride's cousin, Miss Dorothy Householder played "Oh Promise Me", "I Love You Truly" and the wedding march from Lohengrin.
The bride was lovely in a light blue street length dress with which she wore white accessories and a corsage of gardenias.
Her sister, Miss Margaret Lusher, as a bridesmaid, wore a becoming beige dress with matching accompaniment and her flowers were yellow rosebuds.
Harry Lusher, brother of the bride, was best man.
A wedding dinner and reception for sixteen guests followed at Brenleigh with pretty bridal appointments being featured. Later in the day, the couple departed on a trip to Detroit and Cleveland and after their return will reside at North Sewickley.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Falen are graduates of the local high school with the bride being employed as secretary to the city manager, while the bridegroom is employed by the National Tube company.
