General Notes: Husband - John Farver

---

He was a native of what is now Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, born in the Shenango Valley. In 1840 he came to Mercer County and located in what is now French Creek Town-ship, on a homestead, which was then an unbroken wilderness. For many years he acted as surveyor and justice of the peace; was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and politically a Republican.
In 1844 he located on a farm later owned by his son Orrin, where he remained until his death.
