MATRIMONIAL
FASENMYER-STROUP
In the rectory of St. Patrick's Church at 4:45 p. m. Saturday afternoon, Miss Ella Marie Stroup, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Stroup, of Kennerdell, became the bride of Sgt. Donald Fasenmyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fasenmyer, of Rockland. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas B. Downey, pastor of the church, officiated.
The bride wore light blue with white accessories. Her attendant, Mrs. Robert Herron, sister of the bridegroom, wore navy blue with white accessories. Their corsages were of pink rosebuds.
Mr. Fasenmyer's best man was his brother-in-law, Robert Herron, of Oil City.
A wedding supper was served in the State Street restaurant in Oil City at 6:30 o'clock.
Guests at the wedding in addition to the parents of the bride and bride-groom were the bride's great great grandfather, Henry Hargenrader of Lucinda, the bridegroom's sister, Miss Shirley Fasenmyer, of Rockland; Bernard Fasenmyer, of Fryburg; Mrs. Edward Shill, of Lucinda, and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Mealy, of Oil City.
Open house was held for Mr. and Mrs. Fasenmyer in the home of the former's parents in Rockland Sunday afternoon and evening.
Sgt. Fasenmyer has just returned from active duty in the South Pacific.
