General Notes: Husband - Joseph Morford

---

He was born in New Jersey and there grew to manhood. In the last decade of the eighteenth century, he came into the Shenango Valley and settled on a tract of land in what is now West Salem Township, Mercer County, PA, in 1798 or 1799. He was a justice of the peace for many years, and became comfortably wealthy. He and his wife were the parents of ten children, seven of whom grew to maturity.
