C. Feltenberger Stricken While Operating Truck
Chester W. Feltenberger 51, of 1406 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, former Rockland and Franklin resident, who was stricken ill while driving a load of steel on Wednesday, died at 10:15 p. m. Thursday in the Franklin Hospital.
He was stricken ill while driving near Centerville and pulled into a service station. After getting gasoline, he became incoherent and went into convulsions. He was taken to the Union City Hospital. He rallied and asked to be removed to the hospital in Franklin. He was brought to the Franklin Hospital shortly after noon on Wednesday by ambulance.
The son of John C. Feltenberger, and the late Ruth Pryer Feltenberger, he was born at Rockland on Jan. 25, 1912.
Mr. Feltenberger had spent his early life in this area and had been a resident of Pittsburgh for the past 24 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local No. 249 at Pittsburgh.
Surviving along with his wife, the former Shirley E. Simpson, whom he married July 8, 1952, are his father, John C. Feltenberger, Franklin; two brothers and two sisters, Dennis V. Feltenberger, North East; Hertha B. Feltenberger, Franklin; Mrs. L. J. (Hester) Larsen, Franklin; and C. Smith Feltenberger, Erie.
The body was removed to the Huff Chapel where friends may call at any time after 7 p. m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Robert Morrison, pastor of the Pine Hill Church of God, officiating.
Interment will be made in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

CHESTER W. FELTENBERGER
Funeral services in memory of Chester W. Feltenberger, of 1406 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, former area resident who was stricken near Centerville while driving a loaded steel truck on Wednesday and then taken to the Franklin Hospital where he died on Thurs­day evening, were conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Huff Chapel by the Rev. Robert H. Morrison, pastor of the Pine Hill Church of God.
During the services, the Rev. Morrison read the poems, "Should You Go First” and "Crossing The Bar.”
Interment was made in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens and the following were pallbearers: Dennie C. Feltenberger, Ronald S. Feltenberger, D. W. Feltenberger, Donald M. Simpson, G. Kimble Six, and William A. DeLong.
Among those attending the services from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Dennis V. Feltenberger, Dennis C. Feltenberger, and Ruth Ann Feltenberger, North East; Mr. and Mrs. C. Smith Feltenberger, Ronald S. Feltenberger, W. Feltenberger and Karen Gromberg, Erie; Mr. and Mrs. Kimble Six, Hundred, W. Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Simpson, Fairmont, W. Va.; William Dunbar, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Eborn, Daniel Burkett, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Weir, Robert A. Reiland, George Watkins, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Six, and Mrs. Mary Dye, Pittsburgh; David Feltenberger, Hollis Feltenberger, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Feltenberger, West Monterey; and Miss Barbara Marshall and Donald Miller, New Brighton.
