Merton Feltenberger Of Franklin Succumbs
FRANKLIN - Merton Edward Feltenberger, 89, of 164 Atlantic Ave., died at 10:05 a.m. Friday in Franklin Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1880, in Rockland Township, the son of John and Margaret Snyder Feltenberger.
He is survived by his wife, the former Maude Titus, whom he married July 10, 1904, in Rockland. Mr. Feltenberger was an oil field worker in Rockland Township for many years. He moved to Franklin in 19?0.
He was employed by the Franklin Refinery for 25 years and attended Rocky Grove Avenue Church of God during his residence in Franklin. Prior to that time when he resided in Rockland, he was a member of the Pine Hill Church of God.
Mr. Feltenberger had also served as church trustee, Sunday School superintendent and Sunday School teacher at the Pine Hill Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and football.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Hazel) Akers of Franklin; and two brothers, Clinton Feltenberger of Franklin and Richard Feltenberger of Kittanning.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. R. J. (Betty) Fries; four brothers, Raymond, Delbert, David and Arthur; and two sisters. Mrs. Emma DeLong and Mrs. Sabina DeLong.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at the Burger Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday. Rev. Harold Potter, pastor of the Erie Methodist Church and nephew of the late Mr. Feltenberger, will officiate.
Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Funeral services for Merton Edward Feltenberger of 164 Atlantic Ave., who died Friday in Franklin Hospital were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the Burger Funeral Home.
Rev. Harold Potter, a brother-in-law of the late Mr. Feltenberger and pastor of the Erie Methodist Church, officiated. He read the 23rd and 34th Psalm, portion of the 14th verse of St. John, "Old Love That Will Not Let Me Go," "Rock of Ages," "0 Little Flowers," and "Cling Softly."
Interment was in Franklin Cemetery.
Out-of-town persons attending the funeral included L. R. Titus, Bradford; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Snyder, Freeport; Seaman Rec. James Dick, Great Lakes, Ill.; and Rev. Harold Potter, Erie.

Maude Feltenberger Of Franklin Dies
FRANKLIN Maude F. Feltenberger, 89, of 164 Atlantic Ave, died at 12:58 pm Thursday in Franklin Hospital.
Born July 10, 1888 in Rockland Township, she was a daughter of George and Hulda Ann Snyder Titus.
She married Mert Feltenberger on July 10, 1905. He died December 19, 1969.
She was a member of Pine Hill Church of God and attended First United Brethren church in Franklin.
Mrs. Feltenberger was a member of the Women of the Moose.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Akers of Franklin; a brother, Sim Titus of Rockland; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Fel Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy) Snyder of Freeport, Mrs. Robert (Viola) Snyder of Rockland and Mrs. Harold (Maribelle) Potter of Buffalo, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Betty Fries in 1951, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm today and 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm Saturday at the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home
Services will be at 2 pm Sunday in the funeral home, with Rev. Howard Snow of United Brethren Church officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

MAUDE FELTENBERGER
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude F. Feltenberger, 89, 164 Atlantic Ave, who died in the Franklin Hospital Thursday, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Howard Snow, of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiated, reading "In That Land to Which We Go," "Sleep On and Take Thy Rest" and “Blessed Sleep.”
Songs were present Frank Mook and Ralph ???, including “Nearer My God to Thee," “Beyond the Sunset" and “Beyond Tomorrow."
Interment was in Franklin Cemetery
The Women of the Moose, Franklin Chapter 669, held a memorial service Saturday afternoon in charge of Louise Craft, senior regent, Della Long, junior regent; Lois Best, junior regent; Ruth Seifreit, chaplain, and Connie Ward, recorder.
Attending services from a distance were Mrs. Helen Feltenberger, Mrs. Audine Hogan, Kittanning; Mrs. Harold Blymiller, Parker; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stewart, Cindy and Jeff Stewart, Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Titus, Bradford; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Fuhrman, Freeport; the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Potter, Buffalo, N. Y.
