Afterward he taught one term of school in Ferguson township. After marriage Mr. Ferguson lived in Kerrmoor, where he was engaged in merchandising. He had numerous additional interests, being concerned with the milling business of W. L. Bloom & Co., at Kerrmoor, and was a stockholder in the C. & C. Telephone Company, the Ferguson & La Jose & Lumber City Telephone Company, being secretary of the same.
