General Notes: Husband - James E. McCague


He grew to manhood on his father's farm in Moon township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, attending the district schools and preparing for the teacher's profession in the Normal School. His studies completed, this was the field he entered, and he was superintendent of the Chartiers township schools until his death at the age of twenty-seven years, his home being in Temperanceville. His death came when his only child was an infant of eight months. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church.
