General Notes: Husband - Robert Finney

He was born in Ireland, and with his wife and several children came to Pennsylvania and settled in New London township, Chester County, prior to 1720. In 1722 he purchased nine hundred acres of land in that township, and named his plantation "Thunder Hill," where he lived until his death, at the age of eighty-seven years. He was a ruling elder of the Elk River Presbyterian Church, known as the "Rocks Church", organized in 1720, and was the founder of the New London Presbyterian Church organized in 1728, then known as the congregation of the upper branches of the Elk.

He is said to have been a trooper in the battle of Boyne in 1690.
