General Notes: Husband - John Moreland Harper

Dunbar Twp, Fayette Co, PA

The Harper estate consisted of over five hundred acres in Dunbar and Stewart townships. He resided in the old stone building where he was born.

He worked for the Dunbar Furnace Company, where he remained ten years, and then the sand stone works, where he was manager for over eleven years.
He passed all the chairs in the Odd Fellows; also the Knights of Pythias, and was a member of the Junior Order American Mechanics. He was a strict member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church. He was an active Democrat, and a member of the school board of the township.
