General Notes: Husband - [Unk] Reid

The North of Ireland was the point of departure of the Reid family from the old country, to which land the Scotch ancestors of the name had come. In their native land the orthography of the name had been Reed, but later change and subsequent usage has made it Reid.

He was born on the ocean en route to America, and upon attaining mature age, married, settling in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, later moving to Allegheny County, his death occurring near Clinton, where he owned and cultivated land.
