General Notes: Husband - Amos Flatt

He was born in Scotland, and, after coming to the United States, settled in Corydon, Warren County, Pennsylvania, in 1837. He was one of the earliest pioneers of that place and took up a large tract of land, built a saw-mill, and followed lumbering all his active days. Although the price of lumber was extremely low at that early date, he became comparatively wealthy by shipping lumber to Pittsburgh and other points.
