Clarence A. Flower came to Franklin at the age of 18. Has lived here some 65 years. Has worked in the Colburn, National Transit in Oil City, Joy Mfg. A tool maker by trade, designed tools for use in tool room.
During the depression, attended a Barber School in Toledo, Ohio. After finishing the course, returned to Franklin and had a Barber shop in Rocky Grove and Franklin for 3 yrs.
Retired from the Joy Mfg in 1965.
He has a tool shop in his garage in which he does many kinds of repair jobs.
His hobby is making toys and gifts, also an avid golf player. Enjoys all kinds of sports.
He is a member of several Masonic groups, Myrtle Lodge #316, Franklin, Knights of Templar, Franklin, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine, Erie, Pa.
A former Kiwanis member. Also member of 1st United Methodist Church, serves on committees and ushers.

Mrs. C. M. Flowers.
Mrs. C. M. Flowers, aged 20 years, died last evening at 10 o'clock at her home, 107 Liberty street.
She was born on October 14, 1901 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hugus. Her entire life was spent in Franklin.
On May 25, 1921 she was married to C. M. Flowers, who survives together with her parents and one sister and one brother as follows: Mrs. Wayne Elder, formerly of Corsica, who expects to locate here and George, Jr., at home.
Mrs. Flowers was greatly beloved by a large host of friends. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and Sunday school, being a teacher in the latter organization.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the late home and her pastor, Rev. Dr. Norris A. White, will officiate. Interment will be in the Franklin cemetery. The funeral will take place on the first anniversary of her wedding day.
Funeral services will be private and friends may call up until noon on Thursday.
