Clarence A. Flower came to Franklin at the age of 18. Has lived here some 65 years. Has worked in the Colburn, National Transit in Oil City, Joy Mfg. A tool maker by trade, designed tools for use in tool room.
During the depression, attended a Barber School in Toledo, Ohio. After finishing the course, returned to Franklin and had a Barber shop in Rocky Grove and Franklin for 3 yrs.
Retired from the Joy Mfg in 1965.
He has a tool shop in his garage in which he does many kinds of repair jobs.
His hobby is making toys and gifts, also an avid golf player. Enjoys all kinds of sports.
He is a member of several Masonic groups, Myrtle Lodge #316, Franklin, Knights of Templar, Franklin, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine, Erie, Pa.
A former Kiwanis member. Also member of 1st United Methodist Church, serves on committees and ushers.

FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD FOR MRS. FLOWER
The funeral of the late Mrs. Clarence A. Flowers took place Saturday afternoon at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. John A. Lowrey, of 189 Liberty street, with Rev. Dr. H. H. Barr, pastor of the First Methodist Episccopal church, officiating. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives.
Interment was in the Franklin cemetery with the following as the pall-bearers: Howard Moore, Vance Phillips, Harold Baker, Eugene Neely, George Hugus and Wayne Elder.
