--Samuel Flowers was found dead in his barn at Mount Hope, Rockland township, shortly after noon on Monday, 27th. His death is supposed to have been caused by heart failure, to which he was subject. Mr. Flowers was about sixty years of age.

-Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Flowers, a well known resident of Coal City and the mother of Mrs. W. A. Long, of Erie street, Third Ward, died at her home at 10 o'clock on Thursday morning after a linger illness with dropsy. The husband of Mrs. Flowers died some years ago, but she is survived by ten children, five sons and five daughers. Interment at Melatt cemetery near Coal City.
