General Notes: Husband - Jesse Brinker Foight

He received a common school education which thoroughly qualified him for the duties and responsibilities of life. He was reared under the parental roof, and on attaining young manhood engaged in the dairy business in Irwin, Pennsylvania, building up a large and profitable route, from which he derived for many years a comfortable livelihood. He later gave his attention to the grocery business at No. 519 Main street, Irwin, and enjoyed a fair share of the patronage of the best families of the community. In religion he advo-cated the tenets of the Reformed church, and in politics gave his allegiance to the Republican party, the principles of which he believes to be for the best form of government. He was a member of Turtle Creek Lodge, No. 777, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Turtle Creek, and the Woodman's Lodge of Irwin.
