General Notes: Husband - George Forbes

He and his wife were natives of County Cork, Ireland, who immigrated to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, via Canada in 1821. They settled first in what is now Wilmington Township, and later in Hickory, about three miles from Sharon, where they lived until about 1827, when they moved to the area of Sandy Lake. Here he bought 400 acres, which later was owned by his son Richard.
