General Notes: Husband - Christopher Fox

About 1831 he came to Monroe township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. In order to pay for one hundred acres of land, he chopped five hundred cords of wood, and to this a homestead holding fifty acres was added by his son, Thomas I. Fox; and the land remained in the family for over eighty years.
He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church.

He was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, and was one of the first settlers\emdash in 1833\emdash in Clarion County, owning one of the best farms in the county, eight miles from Clarion town, the county seat.
