General Notes: Husband - James Milton Frew


Civil War: he served the 76th Pennsylvania Zouaves in the Civil War and was taken prisoner by the Confederates and held in the Andersonville Confederate Prison, where he contracted the disease that brought about his exchange. He died, shortly after his son's birth, from that disease. Later, the conduct of his farm naturally devolved on his son, J. Howard.
