General Notes: Husband - Henry Graff

He made a trip to America while yet a young man, perhaps with his brother Sebastian. After accumulating some means, he returned to Germany and married. They settled in Neuwied, Germany. He was a man of considerable note in church and state, a devoted Christian, and held the position of President or Elder in the Mennonite church for twenty-seven years.

A native of Germany, his home was at Neuwied, on the Rhine. During the latter half of the eighteenth century he emigrated to America and was considerable of a property owner.
