General Notes: Husband - George Fry

---

He was the eldest son, consequently his services were required at home and his education to some extent neglected. He began life as a farmer, at the foot of the ladder, working on his father's farm, which he afterwards bought, and continued to engage in the pursuits of agriculture. He was a republican in politics though he never aspired to office, and with his wife belonged to the Reformed church.
