General Notes: Husband - John Means


He helped to clear up the home farm where Whitesville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, now stands, theirs being the first house in that vicinity.

He served during the Civil war in the 105th Pennsylvania Regiment.

He died on the forty-ninth anniversary of his marriage, and was buried on his birthday.


General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Fuller


She was born at Claysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania, and was nine years old when she moved with the family to Valier (then Whitesville), Jefferson County, passing the rest of her life in the same house.

She died on Thanksgiving Day, at Dayton, Pennsylvania, while on a visit to her daughter Mrs. Winslow.
