General Notes: Husband - John Gabby


He emigrated from Scotland with two brothers, James and William, to Maryland.

Another version:
William and John Gabby were brothers, and emigrated from Scotland to America. William settled in York County, Pennsylvania, and John settled for a time in Washington County, Maryland. In 1784, John came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and on the 5th of June of that year purchased one hundred and twenty acres of land of Daniel Leet, and soon after purchased one hundred and sixty acres of Richard Yeates.
In this version, James is the son of John.
