General Notes: Husband - James Thompson

At the close of the revolutionary war, he bought one hundred acres of land in Ross township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, which he improved and left to his descendants. The Thompsons were of Scotch descent, and democratic in their political views; in religious matters they were strong Presbyterians.
