General Notes: Husband - John Galbraith

Center Twp, Butler Co, PA

He served in the war of the Revolution; was taken prisoner at the battle of Long Island, and suffered great hardships while in captivity. After the close of the war he resided some time in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, whence he removed to Butler County, about 1798, and where he remained until his death.

He was among the early settlers of Center Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was a man of liberal education, but had the misfortune to lose his eyesight before coming to Butler County.
