General Notes: Husband - Jacob K. Gamble


He settled in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in 1827. He learned the millwright trade and worked at it in Fayette and the surrounding counties for several years. He purchased a mill in 1830, and rebuilt it in 1844. The old mill which stood on that site was erected in 1818 by Hugh St. Clair.
He served one term as county commissioner and one as justice of the peace.
