General Notes: Husband - George Orson Garlick

His boyhood days were spent on the farm with his father, and his schooling was received in his native township at the public school. After his marriage he went to Minnesota, but he remained there only one year. Although he had never learned the trade of shoemaker, he then went to Wilcox, Elk County, Pennsylvania, and engaged in that work. This he continued at that place for ten years, when he settled on a farm in Hamlin township, McKean County, where the greater part of his adult life was passed. He later resided at Kasson, of which he was postmaster for twenty-six years. He was a Republican. Beside the postmastership he held for six years the office of school director, and for an extended period that of poor master of Elk County. He attended the Methodist church.

General Notes: Wife - Phoebe McKean

She was a communicant of the Catholic church.
