General Notes: Husband - James McKnight

---

He was reared upon the old homestead, where he lived until 1842, when he removed to Mercer, Pennsylvania, and engaged in the hotel business. He was landlord of the Forest House, and subsequently kept the old Red Tavern on the Mercer and Sharon road. In 1848 he purchased the farm where his son, John C., later resided.
